CRS Milestone Training

This training is designed to educate New York State ACCES-VR and NYS CBVH supported employment providers on the new service delivery model for supported employment services in New York State. Effective January 1, 2014, with the implementation of the statewide Core Rehabilitation Services (CRS) contracts, supported employment funding will convert from a fee-for-service to a milestone payment system. This training will offer new and existing supported employment providers essential information, key updates and critical changes to the supported employment funding model. While we understand that vendors may be focused on the change in terms of funding, ACCES-VR's purpose for the milestone design is to emphasize quality job placement outcomes over processes Participants will... • be informed about deliverables, performance indicators, corrective action plans, allocations, and budgets • understand the rationale and benefits of changing to a milestone payment system. • be introduced to the mechanics of the new system design. • learn of important procedural changes for providers of supported employment services. • develop methods and strategies for collaboration and partnership with ACCES-VR counselors and other key stakeholders. • gain an understanding of how the current funding structure will be converted from a fee-for-service to a model milestone payment system. • be oriented to new billing, documentation and reporting procedures, inclusive of the VR Intensive/Extended Service Plan, the concept of Stabilization, and the new 417 Monthly Progress Report. • learn of changes to the supported employment referral and intake process.
