"Web Accessibility for Employers"
Did you know that your company's website may present barriers to, and unintentionally prevent people with disabilities to apply for jobs or purchase your company's services or goods? This webinar is designed to provide employers with the basic information and guidance regarding web accessibility for people with disabilities to assist you in identifying and addressing potential problems. Accessible web content opens your customer markets and workplace to people with disabilities. Beyond expanding your web site to this audience, web accessibility may also be a legal requirement. Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act provides technical web accessibility requirements for federal procurement. The Americans with Disabilities Act and other laws provide guidance about discrimination in web sites. The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) provide more extensive guidance for web accessibility. This webinar will present an overview of web accessibility and accessibility laws, guidelines, and principles. It will serve as a primer for employers on the requirements and principles of web accessibility.
