David joined Cornell University’s Employment and Disability Institute (EDI) in April 2014 as a Research Associate providing support to the PROMISE grant as well as assisting with SERP, FIR-Work Life Balance, and Global Service Learning evaluation. Concurrently he is coordinating efforts to develop a research agenda at the intersection between sustainability, climate disruption, the green economy, and vulnerable populations - especially people with disabilities.

David is an evaluator and social scientist with expertise in research methods, particularly the design and administration of survey instruments. He developed a novel approach to creating surveys titled “A Structured Conceptualization Approach to Survey Design”, a process merging concept mapping with best practices of survey development. David has prior experience as a Project Manager for NMR Group, Inc. evaluating energy efficiency and renewable energy programs. He has published on the topics of climate change, green labor markets, water resources, and energy efficiency concerns. He has performed federally funded research on the effects a changing climate has on the aging population. He holds a PhD in Policy Analysis and Management and an MPA, both from Cornell University.
