Leading ILR: School’s Legacy, Future Discussed
Kevin Hallock, now dean of the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business, led the ILR School from Feb. 1, 2015, to Oct. 9, 2018. This winter, Hallock and Alex Colvin, ILR’s current Kenneth F. Kahn Dean, discussed initiatives that began during Hallock’s leadership of ILR and talked about how the school is continuing to impact students, Cornell and the world. See the video here.
A professor of strategy and economics, Hallock is ILR’s Joseph R. Rich Professor of Economics and Human Resource Studies. He has been at Cornell since 2005 and has served as chair of the Financial Policy Committee, the Donald C. Opatrny Chair of Cornell’s Department of Economics and founding director of ILR’s Institute for Compensation Studies. He has been at Cornell since 2005.
Hallock’s current research is focused on labor markets, executive compensation, and the plan design and mix of employee compensation. His most recent book, Pay, was published by Cambridge University Press and received the Princeton University Richard A. Lester Prize.
