What Did You Work On:  I gathered and analyzed demographic data at stops along the proposed Light Rail Extension. In doing so, Citizens for Regional Transit can prove that there is a need for a more comprehensive Light Rail system through East Buffalo.

Why I Took The High Road: I took the high road because people need to have their voices heard in their community. So often, policies are created without listening to those in the community that are being affected. People matter and their voices need to be elevated.

Summer Takeaway:  I have learned the impacts that the lack of transit can have on a community. When people are able to move freely, their ideas go with them, therefore by limiting where people can go growth is stunted in those areas.

Shout Out:  Carl Skompinski, my supervisor, has been such a great advisor and has really made my time in Buffalo special.
