
CJI Participates in YTIs EARN webinar on Disability Inclusion in Clean Energy Jobs
On July 24, 2024, the Climate Jobs Institute (CJI) participated in a webinar hosted by the Employer Assistance and Resource Network on Disability (EARN) at the Yang-Tan Institute on Employment and Disability (YTI). The conversation focused on equitable access to clean energy jobs, highlighting inclusive pre-apprenticeship programs and registered apprenticeship opportunities.
Following the CJI presentation, a panel discussion explored successful initiatives, including Deaf hiring programs in the solar energy industry. Panelists included representatives from ENGIE North America and Axium Solar, who shared insights and experiences from their respective organizations.
The event emphasized the importance of including people with disabilities in the rapidly expanding clean energy workforce.
