ICS Scholars are students who have made a commitment to curricular, professional development, and club-based experiences that ICS has designed to prepare interested students exceptionally ready for the field. 

How do I become a Scholar?

  1. Participate in the Cornell Compensation Club
  2. Submit a Scholars application and interview with ICS
  3. Fulfill the Compensation track curriculum
  4. Complete the eCornell certification program in compensation
  5. Engage with our mentorship program

We connect Scholars to leading firms with high-level, field specific mentoring and internships to students committed to the program.

Becoming a scholar is a commitment of at least one year. Students should plan accordingly.

ICS NAMED SCHOLARS

Exceptional ICS Scholars who demonstrate that they are seeking employment in the compensation field can qualify for a financial award drawn from annual funds of $25,000 in 2024-2025. Awards recognize achievement in the ICS Scholars program as “named” scholars.

Individual prizes of up to $2,500 are available for Scholars completing the program.

Awards will be named by contributing corporate sponsors. Named scholars can include the designation on their resumes.
