Abowd elected as fellow of the AAAS

November 24, 2020 John Abowd, the Edmund Ezra Day Professor of Economics, Statistics and Information Science, and the chief scientist and associate director for research and methodology, U.S. Census Bureau, was just elected as a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). Abowd was honored for his distinguished contribution to the statistical understanding of U.S. population dynamics, and the critical role of the census in shaping public policy and understanding.
