LDI Executive Director Vilhuber addresses current reproducibility and replicability in economics at Banco de Portugal Workshop
LDI Executive Director Lars Vilhuber will be presenting at an upcoming workshop, “Reproducibility of Scientific Results,” hosted by Portugal’s central bank on December 15, 2021. He will contribute to the workshop with material drawn from his current work on pre-analysis data acquisition and record keeping as a component of reproducibility processes in economic research, and offer closing remarks.
The program features academic and central bank economists discussing reproducibility-focused best practices for common research software packages in the economics discipline and implementation of replicability practices at key institutions such as central banks and disciplinary journals.
Vilhuber’s contribution draws on responsibilities he holds as the American Economics Association’s Data Editor, a position housed at LDI.
The workshop will be conducted via Zoom and is open to all. To attend, register by December 14 at the Banco de Portugal portal.
