Message from Patricia Campos-Medina, Executive Director, The Worker Institute
Dear Friends and Leaders,
As we honor Martin Luther King Day, we at the Worker Institute remember his legacy, and recommit ourselves to the struggle to end racial and economic injustice in the workplace.
The double crisis of the pandemic and the growing inequality in American society, reveals that our founding mission to advance collective bargaining rights and collective worker power, is now more important than ever before.
From our research on climate jobs, sexual harassment and domestic violence prevention, and app delivery workers, our team continues to serve as a hub of critical analysis and information in support of leaders and policymakers working for economic justice in our society today.
With this newsletter, we are delighted to share our recent publications and to announce some of our upcoming programmings for the spring. I am also excited to introduce to you our new team members who will bring with them new energy and vision to the Worker Institute. They will help us create our strategy for supporting worker power innovation in the next decade.
Please visit our website and follow us on Twitter and Facebook for any updates on our work.
And as we enter the second year of this pandemic, let’s honor the sacrifice of all our frontline workers by recommitting ourselves to advancing solutions that address our ongoing struggles for economic equity, racial justice and for our democracy.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Sincerely
Patricia Campos-Medina
Executive Director, The Worker Institute
