Labor Heritage Power Hour
Tune In
Labor Heritage Power Hour, a radio show that highlights American workers' rich cultural hertiage, featured the "Stories of Belonging: TPS Exhibit" that took place in Washington D.C. from March 9-14. Worker Institute Executive Director Patricia Campos-Medina spoke about how the project highlights the precarity that TPS workers live with - even though they are hardworking, pay taxes, and are active members of their communities, they are unable to secure a more permanent status in the United States. The Stories of Belonging exhibit showcases the stories of these TPS workers: despite not having permanent status, they feel at home in the United States; they are at home.
