Overview

Interagency and public/private agreements are one way that disability service providers and workforce agencies can deepen their cross-system collaboration and coordination in serving youth (ages 14–24) with disabilities.

During this 3-hour, in-person workshop, participants representing human service agencies in New York state’s Herkimer-Madison-Oneida Workforce Development Region will explore the importance of crafting formal interagency agreements (e.g., MOUs, MOAs, contracts, terms of reference, charters, data sharing agreements) with collaborators.

The workshop will feature examples of effective agreements from around the state at both local and state levels, and across different service contexts. Participants will learn best practices in drafting effective agreements and will be offered opportunities to practice those strategies in real time.

The workshop is presented by Cornell University’s Yang-Tan Institute on Employment and Disability (YTI) and Central New York Health Home Network (CNYHHN) Connected Community Schools.
