The Trade Union College in Shanghai is a two year associate program in a variety of disciplines. Located in the far suburbs of Shanghai, the college has 5000 students. The college offers four majors for students. The college is supervised by the Shanghai Labor Federation. In addition to academic study, the college provides extension services at three levels: factories, sector, and industrial. The faculty support labor efforts with sewing factories in the Shanghai area, plus taxi drivers, restaurants, and construction projects. The faculty has a significant interest in “interest arbitration” during collective bargaining.
Our faculty contact is Professor and Dean Meng Wu. In addition, Ms. Zhu is the faculty expert on labor law, and Ms. Jin is the faculty expert on collective bargaining.
