Tammy Rodriguez
Director, Corporate Responsibility, Esquel Group
Tammy Rodriguez is the Director of Corporate Responsibility at the Esquel Group in Hong Kong and is also a member of Esquel’s Sustainability Council. In these roles she helps set and implement the company’s sustainability strategy, manages the internal oversight of working conditions at all Esquel and supplier facilities, and leads the company’s involvement with international multi-stakeholder groups. Prior to joining Esquel 11 years ago, she worked with Nike, Inc. for 6 years based in Indonesia and Thailand as Regional Director for Corporate Responsibility Compliance for South and Southeast Asia. Ms. Rodriguez has worked on practical solutions to labor and environmental challenges within the supply chain from both a multi-national buyer and supplier perspective. This work includes intersecting with business colleagues, business relationships up and down the supply chain, factory branch union and parent union representatives, government representatives, civil society, and academics interested in these issues. Ms. Rodriguez is also a FLA Board Director and member of the FLA Monitoring Committee. Before moving overseas 20 years ago, she worked with First National Bank of Commerce in New Orleans and received a BS degree in Finance from Louisiana State University. She currently resides in Hong Kong and maintains regular business travel throughout Asia, the U.S. and Europe.
