The ILR Annual Fund plays a crucial role in supporting students in a variety of ways:

Make your gift

Made possible through your support

Scholarships:

A significant portion of the fund is often allocated to providing financial aid and scholarships for students. This assistance ensures that talented individuals, regardless of their financial background, have the opportunity to pursue education at the ILR School.

Program Enhancement:

The fund contributes to the enhancement of academic programs and extracurricular activities. This support allows the school to offer a diverse range of educational experiences, including workshops, conferences, and seminars that enrich students' learning beyond the classroom.

Research Opportunities:

Students benefit from research opportunities facilitated by the fund. These resources can support student-led research projects, internships, and collaborations with faculty members, providing valuable hands-on experiences and contributing to their academic and professional development.

Career Development Services:

The ILR Annual Fund often supports career development services, such as career counseling, workshops, and networking events. This ensures that students are well-prepared for the job market and have access to resources that can help them make informed career choices.

Emergency Aid:

Some funds may be set aside for emergency aid, providing a safety net for students facing unexpected financial challenges. This ensures that students can focus on their studies without being unduly burdened by unforeseen circumstances.

Global and Community Engagement:

The ILR Annual Fund may support initiatives that promote global and community engagement. This could include funding for study abroad programs, community service projects, or partnerships with organizations that align with the school's mission.

What Your Support Means to Students

Alex Herazy ’25

“I want to express my profound gratitude for the incredible opportunities I've had in ILR. Since transferring from the College of Arts & Sciences to ILR at the beginning of my sophomore year, I've actively participated in various ILR initiatives. In the summer of 2023, I had the honor of serving as a NYC ILR High Road Fellow, working alongside New York State Assemblymember Alex Bores (ILR ’13).

Currently, I'm part of the credit internship program, interning for Judge Richard Berman (ILR ’64) of the Southern District Court of New York with Tim McNutt, Director of the ILR Criminal Justice and Employment Initiative, as my sponsor. Whether collaborating with a graduate from 1964 or 2013, my past two years highlight the myriad of opportunities made possible by ILR's dedicated alumni, parents, and friends. I am genuinely thankful for the steadfast support I've received.”
