Get Involved in IGSA!
This year, the student club devoted to defining and advancing the needs of MILR international students will be visible on many fronts. Based on feedback from current 2nd year international MILRs, we have identified areas where international students would like to see more coverage.
Some of the events for this first semester include small focus groups right before and during the recruitment process to give an opportunity for new international students to ask second years for advice and best practices.
In addition, we will outreach with Toastmaster's and other experts around Cornell campus and organize mini-sessions where international students can develop confidence and practice in public communication and on specific skills such as table etiquette. Lastly, a talent show that is open to the faculty and all graduate ILR students will be held in November.
This is a chance for international students to share their culture through action so that we can all learn from one another. All ILR graduate students are encouraged to get involved, please contact Leo Chan, e-mail lc337. The IGSA Executive Board look forward to a busy, successful year.
