ILR Multicultural Leadership Summit Slated For Feb. 8
The first ILR Multicultural Leadership Summit will be held Feb. 8 in New York City.
The professional development program will be hosted by the ILR Alumni Association Minority Council, the Minority ILR Student Organization and the ILR Office of Student Services Multicultural Affairs.
Thirty students will participate in the summit, which will have three segments.
The career foundations session will provide a quick refresher on foundational job search activities, including building a powerful resume, conducting informational interviews and tips on networking and interviewing.
In breakout sessions, alumni from different ILR career paths will share overviews of their professions, samples of entry-level positions, information on the recruitment process and a “day in the life” look at their workdays.
An alumni panel featuring individuals from law, human resources and finance will provide students with opportunities to ask questions and hear straightforward answers.
During the event, students will also be able to have a headshot taken for professional purposes.
