Welcome to ILR
The ILR School is welcoming 158 first-year students and 122 transfer students to campus as Orientation unfolds over the next few days and classes begin Tuesday.
So many choices, so much to learn, so little time.
Where to start?
Take a look at this ILR-produced webcast, which provides insight on everything from how to know which clubs to join to tapping into ILR Career Services and ILR Student Services.
A gorgeous day is in store, according to the weather outlook. After unpacking, you might want to check out gorges accessible by foot from campus.
Two natural swimming areas at the foot of beautiful waterfalls can be reached from campus by taking local bus service to Buttermilk Falls and Robert H. Treman State Parks. Click here for bus Route 22 fares and schedules.
As ILR leaders welcome parents to the school community with a 5 to 7 p.m. reception tonight (Friday) in the Harry Katz Courtyard, students might find time to peruse details on the Big Red swim test and meal plans at https://newstudents.cornell.edu/.

Even if you don’t yet know West Campus from North Campus or Ives Hall East from Ives Hall West, know you are in the right place.
As one ILR student advises on the ILR welcome webcast, “trust the admissions process … you belong here.”
