Alice Hanson Cook-Lois Gray Distinguished Lecture
The 2018 Alice Hanson Cook-Lois Gray Distinguished Lecture will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 2 in Klarman Hall, KG70 Rhodes-Rawlings Auditorium.
Professor Shelley Correll, a leading authority on gender, will speak about “The Gendered Language of Performance Assessment.”
Correll is a professor of sociology and organizational behavior at Stanford University, where she is the Barbara D. Finberg director of the Michelle R. Clayman Institute for Gender Research and the VMware Women's Leadership Innovation Lab.
In addition to ILR, lecture sponsors include the Center for the Study of Inequality, the Institute for the Social Sciences, and the Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program.
The lecture is named in honor of Alice Hanson Cook and Lois Spier Gray, who were dedicated to improving the lives of working people.
