The Graduate Office may award MS thesis or PhD dissertation awards to assist ILR MS/PhD students in their research. The funding levels are as follows:
- $750.00 MS thesis award
- $1,250.00 PhD dissertation award
This award may be made once to any student (one MS thesis award while registered in the MS program and one PhD dissertation award while registered in the PhD program). PhD research funds can be awarded after students successfully complete their A Exam. If there is a special reason to consider awarding PhD funds prior to the A exam, please email ilrgradprograms@cornell.edu. There is no assumption that any award be made, and awards may not be banked or carried over between programs. To apply, complete and submit the online application below.
