AFT/UFT Interns Gain Valuable Experience

The Scheinman Institute offers students a number of ways to engage outside of the classroom by combining education, real-world skills, and networking with professionals including the summer internships with the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) in Washington, D.C., and the United Federation of Teachers (UFT) in New York City. In previous years, students actively supported bargaining of the UFT contract and the Washington Teachers Union contract negotiations.

The 2024 interns are Rachel Altman Marcus and Max Ehrlich with the AFT and Zohar Grinvald and Clyde Lederman with the UFT.
