Internship Description
Compensation
Apply quantitative skills and computer literacy to work on select analytical projects supporting line management within a major business unit, or research in the mergers, acquisition and divestitures area of the Compensation and Benefits function.
Staffing
Assist in the implementation of IBM's intern/coop program, analyzing program effectiveness and recommending improvements. Other projects will include special studies in the staffing function. Objectives include providing a high quality experience, to enhance IBM's image among students and on campus, and to provide an eager pipeline of candidates for future requirements.
Employee Relations
In support of a Group headquarters organization, assist the Human Resources team on a variety of projects in the areas of organizational effectiveness, performance and climate.
HR Development
In a development laboratory, develop and implement initiatives to improve organizational climate and drive a high performance culture.
Diversity
Conduct data gathering and analysis to make recommendations to accelerate the development of high potential future leaders with a goal of increasing the appointment of diverse executives and ensuring a robust pipeline. Output to include metric-based management tool to foster continued focus.
HR Generalist
In support of a newly acquired organization, review Opinion Survey data, management feedback and post-acquisition assessment data to determine and define additional management support materials needed to support ongoing integration efforts. Also, define workforce management processes to support a dynamic staffing environment.
