Cornell Tradition Fellows may be able to complete a portion of their work and/or service requirement while undertaking their credit internship.
All Cornell Tradition Fellows are strongly advised to stop by the Office of the Cornell Tradition Office in 103 Day Hall early in the semester they apply to participate in the ILR Credit Internship Program.
The guidelines for fulfilling your requirements for the Cornell Tradition are:
- Complete a total of 325 hours of work and service during the academic year.
- Cornell Tradition suggests completing 125 hours of paid work the semester you are on campus although your internship may count toward your work requirement.
- 75 of the 325 hours must be service hours.
- The remaining 125 hours may be either work or service. Service opportunities may include participation in community service activities in your chosen location. To verify that your organization is acceptable, please review with the Office of Cornell Tradition.
