The numbers 3, 10, 11B, and the 17 all provide direct bus services to the Belfield campus; the number 3, 10 and 11B can be boarded at O'Connell Street. The buses do stop running around 11:00pm, so always plan accordingly. The bus from the city center to UCD will take approximately 35-45 minutes depending on traffic. Please visit the Dublin bus system website for more information.
Aircoach also operates a bus service to Leopardstown/Sandyford/Stillorgan which passes UCD to and from Dublin Airport.
Dublin's rail system or, DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transport), runs along the coast of Dublin. While there is no DART station near UCD, it is a great way to see the Irish coast. The DART runs from Malahide and Howth in the north to Greystones, County Wicklow in the South. You can connect to the regular train service for town north of Dublin as far as Belfast. DART services begin at 6:30am on weekdays and ends at 11:30pm. Please visit the DART service website for more information.
