Ken Liu
Research Director, Culinary Workers Union Local 226, UNITE HERE
Ken Liu has been a researcher with the Culinary Union of Las Vegas and its international affiliate, UNITE HERE, since 2003. He has worked on large-scale campaigns to organize hospitality workers in the casino, hotel, and food service industries. He served on UNITE HERE’s Global Campaigns committee and was a union trustee for the Southern Nevada Culinary & Bartenders Pension Plan from 2010 to 2023. He is currently a board member of the Nevada State Infrastructure Bank. He holds a B.A. and a M.Phil. from Yale University and was a member of the Graduate Employee & Student Organization (GESO). He attended SCR Summer School in 2003. He is originally from Taipei, Taiwan.
