Michael Lenmark

Senior Research Support Specialist, ILR Worker Institute

Michael Lenmark, PhD, is a quantitative sociologist specializing in public opinion and survey methodology. He is a key contributor to the design and analysis of the Empire State Poll, the ILR School's annual representative survey of labor and employment in New York State. He is further engaged with a variety of projects examining how financial markets and emerging technologies shape working conditions and social inequity.

Dr. Lenmark earned his PhD in sociology from Stony Brook University, having written his doctoral dissertation on racial differences in immigration policy attitudes. Before joining Cornell, he worked as a graduate instructor at Stony Brook University, where he taught courses on research methodology, racial inequity, and the sociology of organizations.
