Kamala Karuppiah
Kamala is a junior from East Brunswick, New Jersey Studying Industrial and Labor Relations with minors in Global Health and Health Inequity. In the summer of 2023, Kamala participated in the Global Service Learning trip to India, and in the summer of 2024, Kamala stayed in Ithaca to research policies for doctors with disabilities in the global physician workforce with the guidance of Professor Saleh. She also participated in the field shadowing program and the career exploration project through ILR’s EXPLORE program. She is currently pursuing a credit internship at the EEOC. In addition to these programs, Kamala is involved in Cornell Mock Trial, Cornell Sitara, and the Cornell Hindu Student Council. She also worked in the ILR Office of Student Services from 2023-2024. She is very passionate about the ILR school and very thankful for the opportunities through the OEEP. She looks forward to speaking to anyone who has questions about the programs she has participated in.
