Lisa L. Hunter
Lisa Hunter provides practical insight and professional education on total rewards to leaders in a wide range of organizations. She is a seasoned consultant with extensive experience in the design and implementation of compensation programs and aligning total rewards with business and talent strategy and culture. At the Institute for Compensation Studies, Lisa works to advance ICS programs and external relationships. In addition to her work at ICS, Lisa is a Senior Fellow and Program Director at The Conference Board where she leads several Executive Compensation and Compensation Councils, Total Rewards-related Conferences and Roundtables and regularly contributes to research and briefings. Lisa is also Founder and Managing Director of Newport Consulting Group, Inc., a firm specializing in customized Total Rewards solutions for both profit and non-profit organizations.
Prior to establishing Newport Consulting Group, Inc., she held senior human resources positions at Time-Warner, Home Box Office and Simon and Schuster. Her teaching experience includes having served as a Lecturer at the Columbia University, School of Professional Studies and at Cornell University ILR School’s Professional Education programs and The Scheinman Institute. Lisa is a graduate of Cornell University with a degree in Industrial and Labor Relations.
She currently serves on JUST Capital’s Program Advisory Board, the Work & Organizational Research Center (WORC), and the Cornell ILRAA Board. She has also served the ILR Dean’s Advisory Council and on the Boards of: Kids' Club of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow; New Beginnings, an organization that assists the homeless in their transition to permanent housing; and My Sister’s Place, an organization that assists victims of domestic violence.
