Frans Hijkoop
Frans Hijkoop is the former Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of MetLife Inc. In this role, he was one of the main architects behind MetLife’s successful transformation from a US domestic company into a global industry leader. Before MetLife, he held a number of leadership roles at PepsiCo, including as Chief HR Officer for PepsiCo International and PepsiCo Americas Foods.
He also served as executive group member and CHRO at Lloyds TSB and worked for MobiI and Unilever in the early stages of his career.
Hijkoop currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Friends of The Neuberger Museum of Art in Purchase, New York. He is also the former Chair of the Board of Trustees of Sesame Workshop, the educational and media organization which produces Sesame Street. In addition, Hijkoop has served on the Board of Directors of the Steamboat Art Museum and chaired the Board of Trustees of UC Health Yampa Valley Medical Center.
Hijkoop earned his M.A. degree from Utrecht University in the Nether lands and is a visiting lecturer at Cornell University’s ILR-school.
